Gas Sponsorship
Introduction to Gas Sponsorship
Gas sponsorship is a mechanism that allows the protocol to cover the transaction fees for users, promoting a smoother interaction with decentralized applications (DApps) and fostering greater adoption by eliminating common barriers related to gas costs.
Methods of Gas Sponsorship
SIP supports two primary methods of sponsoring gas for transactions:
Credit Card Payments: Operators can cover gas costs using a credit card. Charges are accrued during the billing cycle and processed at the end.
**Pre-purchased Gas Credits: **Operators can buy gas credits in advance, which are then used to cover transaction fees as needed.
Setting Up Gas Sponsorship
To implement gas sponsorship within SIP, follow these steps:
- Dashboard Registration: Operators must first register on the platform's dashboard. This access is critical for setting up and managing gas sponsorship policies.
- Configure Gas Policies: Through the dashboard, operators can define their gas sponsorship policies. This includes setting limits and rules to efficiently manage how gas is sponsored, ensuring operations remain within budget.
